Independent Contractor Agreement
This template covers the key provisions that distinguish a true independent contractor relationship from employment under Ontario law. It addresses scope of work, payment terms, IP ownership (critical in Canada where creators retain copyright by default), and a proper termination clause. Note: misclassifying an employee as a contractor can trigger ESA claims and CRA scrutiny — have a lawyer review for high-risk roles.
